About me

I’m Gizem Çatal, a design student based in Germany, currently in my final semester of Information and Communication Design at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. My visual approach began with photography and has since evolved into a multidisciplinary practice spanning visual arts, digital experimentation and communication design.

Through my experience at a design studio and an art gallery in Ankara, alongside internships and working student roles in Germany, I have gained experience in visual design, video editing, editorial design, campaign design and social media content. These experiences have strengthened my ability to develop visual languages for different audiences, translate ideas into practical design solutions and collaborate within creative teams.

Curiosity, research and experimentation shape my approach to design. At the intersection of art and new media, I explore generative art, motion and real-time visual experiences, continually developing new ways to express ideas. I use AI as a creative tool to support concept development and visual research, opening up further possibilities for experimentation.
