Many Things to Overcome - Tradition

A conceptual photography series exploring identity, tradition and the social expectations surrounding womanhood.

Part of the photographic project Many Things Too Overcome, Tradition examines the relationship between cultural heritage, social expectations and individual identity. Through staged portraits and symbolic objects, the series explores how established gender roles influence women’s lives and choices. Traditional wedding elements, contemporary clothing and family photographs come together to create a visual dialogue between past and present. The project reflects on belonging, independence and the search for a personal identity within inherited structures. I developed the project’s concept and narrative, shaping every visual decision—from styling and clothing to the selection of symbolic objects. Through art direction and photography, I brought these elements together to express the ideas behind the series.
